Appointment as a papal chaplain of William, priest, kinsman of
Robert, king of Scotland, at his petition.

To master Peter de Peyzaco, papal chaplain and auditor. Mandate
to settle a dispute which had arisen between John de Hawyc, canon
of Moray, priest, b.dec., and William Lawedir, calling himself
priest, St Andrews diocese, concerning the precentorship of the
church of Glasgow, vacant by the promotion of Henry, former pre¬
centor, to the bishopric of St Andrews, both John and William
claiming to have been canonically provided to the benefice, a non¬
elective, non-major dignity with cure of souls, value not exceeding
80 merks sterling to a non-resident. William is to be summoned and
examined, the case terminated and John provided to the precentor¬
ship notwithstanding that he is known to hold a canonry and pre¬
bend of Moray.
