To Celestine Celestini called Macgillemichael, priest, Argyll diocese.
Indult abolishing any stain or inhability contracted by Celestine, dis¬
pensed of a defect of birth as the son of a priest and an unmarried
woman to be promoted to all holy orders and to hold a benefice
even if with cure, by virtue of which he had been instituted to the
parish church of St Katani de Logughe, Argyll diocese, a church in
lay patronage, but, after its despoilation by powerful laymen, he
had been presented without a papal dispensation to Bean, bishop of
Argyll, for institution in the church of St Molrwe de Melferth, same
diocese, vacant by the death outside the curia of the rector Dugald
Machenryth, by Colin Cambel to whom the patronage pertained.
Celestine is held to demit the church of St Molrwe but is then
further dispensed to hold it if it is canonically conferred on him
along with any other compatible benefice, with or without cure,
with powers of exchange.

To the bishop of St Andrews. Mandate to dispense John Baxter to
marry Mariote de Glendoky, St Andrews diocese, and to absolve
them from the excommunication incurred by contracting marriage
per verba de presenti and living together, without a papal dispensation
of the impediment to their marriage, in that Mariote’s late husband,
Stephan de Glendoky, had been the godfather of John, Absolution
is to follow the separation of John and Mariote for a period of time
at the discretion of the mandatory.
