To the abbots of Paisley, Kilwinning and Melrose. Mandate to
collate Thomas de Kyngorn, priest, Aberdeen diocese, m.a., to a
canonry of Glasgow and the prebend of Eddiliston, value not exceed¬
ing 30 merks sterling, vacant by the death outside the curia of
Thomas Mercer, and unlawfully detained for about seven years by
Malcolm de Aula.

To the official of Glasgow. Mandate to confirm William Alan,
priest, Glasgow diocese, in possession of the perpetual vicarage of
the parish church of Selkyrkregis, same diocese. Following the free
resignation of the church by John de Sesclall into the hands of
Hugh Ra, sub-dean and the chapter of Glasgow who were accus¬
tomed to receive such resignations in the absence of the dean, then
travelling in remote parts, and the church of Glasgow, this being
vacant. William had been presented to the said sub-dean and chapter
by Patrick the abbot and the convent of Kelso, osb, to whom the
presentation to the said vicarage had long pertained, and the said
sub-dean had instituted William by ordinary authority; but he
doubted the validity of this presentation and institution.1
