To the bishop of Aberdeen. Mandate. The bishop, dean and chapter
of Moray had petitioned that because of wars the church and a large
part of the canons’ living quarters had been destroyed, including
many books containing statutes, and certain privileges of the bishop,
dean and chapter concerning the priory of Urquhart, osb, the priory
of Pluscarden, o.vallis caul, the domus dei at Elgin, and the
hospital of the poor at the old bridge of Spec, Moray diocese, and
therefore witnesses of the contents of these books are to be sum¬
moned and a copy made of their findings concerning these privileges
and statutes.

To the bishops of Sodor and Argyll, and Colin Cristini, canon of
Lismore. Mandate to allow after examination John Goffredi called
Macalasantar, rector of the parish church of St Comgan, Sodor
diocese, in subdeacons orders, to become a monk of the monastery
of St Columba de Hy, osb, ensuring him a share of the fruits of the
monastery, but on his profession as monk or after his probationary
period he is held to demit the said parish church.
