To Stephen Bygli rector of the parish church of Methkyl, St
Andrews diocese. Reservation to Stephen, constituted priest, who
has studied arts for more than two years, of a benefice with cure
in the gift of the bishop, prior and chapter of St Andrews, value
35 merks sterling, vacant on or after 16 Kal. Jun. [17 May], 1404,
notwithstanding that he is known to hold the said parish church
and that he has today been reserved a second benefice with or
without cure in the same gift; but on his peaceful assecution to a
benefice by virtue of these letters, he is held to demit the said
church and the second letters are to become invalid.1

Concurrent mandate to the abbots of Dunfermline and Holyrood
and the provost of St Andrews, Grenoble.

To William Haghon, priest, St Andrews diocese. Reservation to
William of a benefice in the gift of the abbot and convent of
Arbroath, osb, if situated in parts where the ancient taxation of
the teinds is not reduced by half and with cure to the value of
25 merks sterling, and if without cure to the value of 18 merks
sterling, and if situated elsewhere with cure to the value of ^40 of
Tours, and if without to the value of -£30 of Tours, vacant after
4 Id. Feb. [10 Feb.], 1403.

Concurrent mandate to the deans of Brechin and Dunkeld and
William filio Ade, canon of Dunkeld.2

lic.art., a benefice in the gift of the bishop of St Andrews and the
