years. Private Macarthur joined the firing line in
October, 1914.
ANGUS MACDONALD, Private, 2nd Seaforth High-
landers ; son of Mr Angus Macdonald, 6 Coll, Stornoway j
killed in action at Neuve Chapelle on 9th May, 1915. Aged
18 years.
DONALD MACDONALD, Private, 3rd Seaforth High-
landers ; son of Mr John Macdonald (" Donald "), 8 Aird-
of-Tong ; missing since 9th May, 1915, and officially re-
ported believed killed. Aged 19 years. His elder brother,
Private Samuel Macdonald, 1st Seaforths, was killed at
Neuve Chapelle on 12th March, 1915,
DONALD Macdonald, Sergeant, 1st Seaforth High-
landers ; son of the late Mr John Macdonald, elder, 4 Port-
voller ; killed in action at Hill 60 on 9th May, 1915. Aged
27 years. He served for ten years with the colours, and
arrived in France with the Indian Contingent in October.
His brother, Malcolm, is serving on H.M.S. " Hibernia."
JOHN MACDONALD, Private, 2nd Seaforth High-
landers; son of Mr Murdo Macdonald, 16 North Dell,
Ness ; gas poisoned on 1st May, and died on 9th May, 1915.
Aged 22 years.
DONALD MACIVER, Private, Cameron Highlanders;
residing with his grandfather, Mt Norman Maciver, 2 Car-
loway; killed in action at La Bassee on 9th May, 1915.
Aged 19 years. Private Maciver had been at the front
since October.
MURDO MACKAY, Private, 1st Seaforth Highlanders;
son of Mr Malcolm Mackay, 17 Skigersta, Ness; killed
in action in France on 9th May, 1915. Aged 19 years.
DONALD MACKENZIE, Private, 1st Seaforth High-
landers ; son of Mr Angus Mackenzie, 50 Back ; killed in
action in France on 9th May, 1915. Aged 21 years.
