Easter, Ross-shire, 6th Sept., 1890, residing for over 20 years in Morayshire ; joined at Edin-
burgh, 4th August, 1914 ; served in Gallipoli and France ; once wounded. Son of Gilbert
and Catherine Anderson, Maxwell Cottage, Fochabers. Occupation, teacher.
ANDERSON, Edward Simpson. No. 59103, Pte., i/8th Royal Scots; born at Elgin, 19th
August, 1899 ; joined at Elgin, 25th Sept., 1917 ; served in France. Son of A. and Eleanor
Anderson, Cairnduna, Forteath Avenue, Elgin. Occupation, student.
ANDERSON, Eric James. Capt., 6th Seaforths ; born at Fortrose, 15th Jan., 1882 ; resided and
educated in Morayshire from 1890 to 1914 ; joined at Grantown-on-Spey, 20th August, 1914 ;
private on mobilization of Morayshire Batt. 6th Seaforths, served in France at Festubert,
Arras, the Somme, and Beaumont Hamel ; killed in action at Beaumont Hamel, 13th Nov.,
1916. Son of Eric (deceased) and Jane Anderson, Duff Avenue, Elgin. Occupation, estate
clerk.
ANDERSON, Farquhar. No. 265283, Cpl., 6th Seaforth Highlanders (T. F.) ; born at Elgin,
July 28th, 1896 ; joined at Elgin, Nov. i8th, 1913 ; served in France ; wounded at Monchy,
April 1st, 1918. Son of Farquhar and Helen Anderson, St. Kilda, Grant Street. Occupation,

ANDERSON, Francis William. No. 204667, Pte., 7th Seaforth Highlanders ; born at Macduff,
2nd Sept., 1885, and came to Elgin, Morayshire, on 28th May, 1913 ; joined at Fort George,
4th July, 1917 ; served in France ; died in the 2nd Australian Hospital, France, on 10th
April, 1918. Son of George and Christina Anderson, Rothney Inoch. Occupation, martman.
ANDERSON, Frederick. No. 31900, Pte., 2nd Batt. Royal Scots ; born at Findhorn, 30th
Jan., 1896 ; joined at Glasgow, Feb., 1916 ; served in France ; killed near Arras, 9th April,

ANDERSON, George. Engine-man, " Allan Ramsy," Royal Naval Reserve ; born at Moss-
todloch, 28th Sept., 1893 ; joined at Inverness, August, 1914 ; served at Cromarty and
Dover ; killed on 24th June, 1917, off Beachy Head, mined on H.M.T. " Taipo." Son of
William and Elsie Anderson, Green Road Cottage, Kingston, Garmouth. Occupation, farm
