discharged 28th Dec., 1914 ; enlisted into Mercantile Marine Reserve, 15th May, 1917 ; served
at Bedford and Loch Ewe, and on H.M.D. " Earn." Son of James and Jessie Anderson,

ANDERSON, Alexander Thornton. Capt., 4th Seaforths ; born at Dingwall, Ross-shire, 16th
June, 1887 ; joined at Dingwall, 4th Augt., 1914 ; Sergt. on mobilization in 4th Seaforths,
appointed to a commissioned rank as dental officer, April, 1916 ; served in France, Salonika
and Mesopotamia ; wounded in right hand at Neuve Chapelle, March, 1915 ; awarded Mons
Star. Son of Eric (deceased) and Mrs. Jane Anderson, Duff Avenue, Elgin. Occupation,

August, 1888 ; joined at Forres, Sept., 1914 ; first joined Lovat Scouts, was sergt.-instr. of
signalling ; served in France ; trench fever, Jan. 1918, discharged disabled, Dec. 31st, 1918.

August, 1914 ; served in France ; died of wounds at Boulogne, 17th June, 1915. Son of
