the higher powers. Heb. xiii. 17. Obey them that
have rule over you.
(2.) Eph. iv. 2^. Speak every man truth with
his neighbour. Rom. xiii. 7. Render to all their
clues. Rom. xii. 17. Provide things honeft in the
light of all men.
(3.) Verfe 10. Be kindly afFetYioned one to an-
other. Gal. vi. 10. Let us do good to all men,
efpecially to the boufehold of faith. 1 Pet. ii. 17.
Love the brotherhood. Deut. x. 19. Love ye the
ftranger. Matth. v. 44. Love your enemies, do
good to them that hate you.

J. I muff, avoid all the fins of the heart,
the fins of the tongue, and the iinful actions
of life.
Prov. iv. 23. Keep thy heart with all diligence.
Matth. xv. 19. Out of the heart proceed evil
thoughts. Pial. xxxiv. 13. Keep thy tongue from
evil. Verf. 14. Depart from evil, and do good.
