George Brown (1825-1906) and George ? on the steps of Mr. Brown's house, Rockhaven House, Fairlie, Ayrshire. George Brown was a minister of the Scotch Church at Pau, France, from 1856-1906. George Brown's father, Robert, was a brother-in-law of Hugh Tennent (1780-1864) of Wellpark, Glasgow. The part of the building on the left was the Ferry Inn, built in the late 17th century. It was extended when acquired as a residence by Robert Brown in the early 19th century.
