Robert Cay (1822-1888) and Edward Cay (1825-1874). Both later became sheep farmers near Brisbane, Australia. Their father John Cay was one of the members of the Edinburgh Calotype Club.

Messrs. Mercer, Robert Richardson and Robert Tennent probably taken in St. Andrews. Robert Richardson (1820? – 1887) was the son of Thomas Richardson of Edinburgh, Writer to the Signet and his wife Isabella. He held Pirron Yalloak pastoral run 20 miles from Robert Tennent’s land at Gnarkeet and was also superintendent of police in Geelong, Victoria. He died in Edinburgh.
