John Peebles, Allan Ramsay and David Barclay. John Peebles (1821-1873) was a shoemaker who also worked as a gardener. Ramsay (1809-1867) was the gardener who lived in the lodge house of Fairlie House, (home of the Parker family, in-laws of Hugh Tennent (1780-1864), Wellpark, Glasgow). He was born in Kilpatrick, Dunbartonshire, and his wife, Marion, was born in Kilsyth. They had a family of five children. David Barclay was possibly the son of John Barclay, a gardener from Largs.Date: Unknown
