This man has been wrongly classified as " Paralysis of
the insane." He was probably an example of " Para-
lysis agitans" chiefly affecting the right side.
The brain throughout was of a pearly whiteness, very
anæmic and soft. No serous effusion was found.
The mucous membrane of the large intestines was dotted
with circular sloughing ulcers. No attempt at cicatri-
zation was observed. Liver congested.

This man had very frequent attacks of epilepsy, especi-
ally after the rains. On the morning of the 6th Decem-
ber he had two fits in rapid succession. In the convul-
sions of the latter one he died.
Post-mortem examination revealed great congestion of
the vessels of the pia mater and old inflammatory disease
of the dura mater. All the other organs were healthy.

In March was attacked with pneumonia. From that
date until July, when he died, he remained in hospital.
After death both lungs were found studded with miliary
tubercles. The peritoneum, mesentery, and intestines
were matted together by tubercular inflammatory
deposit. In the external covering of spleen several
tubercular nodules were observed.
