Some cases of rinderpest in certain
parts of the Sassaram subdivision
were reported, and the Veterinary
Assistant at Dumraon was engaged
to chock the disease. The Subdivl-
sional Officer allowed him to go back
to Dumraon before the disease had
been stamped out, but subsequent
arrangmentswere made to send him
to the affected parts again.

reporting an outbreak of rinderpest
at the Raipur police-station in the
Narayan subdivision, the Magis-
trate of Dacca was requested to ap-
point a Veterinary Assistant, and he
informed that the disease had dis-
appeared. Five copies each of the
rules for guidance in epidomics of
Rinderpest and Hallen's Manual of
Cattle Diseases in India were sent
to him.
