94. Investigation of diseases.—The following diseases were
treated experimentally :—

                    IN NORTH BIHAR RANGE.

Bursatti.—Eight ponies were treated with intrathecal
injection of Iodine with complete cure.

Equine Filariasis.—One pony was treated at the experi-
mental station, Muzaffarpur with intravenous injection of
Tartaremetic solution resulting in complete disappearance of the
filaria from the blood and spinal fluid.

In addition, 160 cases of hæmorrhagic septicæmia were also
treated with Potas Perrnauganese and Camphor. The result was
satisfactory.

                        IN CENTRAL RANGE.

A case of equine surra was cured by the laboratory assistant
at Bikramganj by intrathecal and intravenous injection of
naganol solution.

                            IN ORISSA RANGE.

Parasitic diarrhcea.--Twenty-five cows suffering from this
disease at the Cuttack Agricultural Farm were treated success-
fully with Carbon Tetrachloride.

Ankylostomiasis in dogs,—Four dogs were completely cured
of this disease by the application of oil of chenopodium in
gelatin capsules.

Bursatti.—Two ponies for Bursatti wound were successfull
treated with intravenous injection of Tartar emetic solution
