Deputy Commissioners may, in urgent cases, grant leave to Veterinary
Assistants, reporting their action to the Superintendent.

20. The Director of Agriculture is the controlling authority in res-
pect of expenditure incurred by the Superintendent under the heads "Tra-
velling allowances" and "Contingencies".

21. On the 15th June of every year, the Superintendent shall sub-
mit a report on the working of the Veterinary Department, during the
twelve months ending on the preceding 31st March, to the Director of
Agriculture, who will forward it with his remarks to the Local Admin-
istration on 1st July.
