I would like to draw the attention of the District
Boards to the question of horse-breeding in the Province.
All interest towards this important work seems to be dying
out at present, I consider conditions are ideal for horse and
mule breeding at such places as Peshawar, Mardan,
Charsadda, Bannu, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, etc.
The zamindars are also very keen and all that is
necessary is that the District Boards concerned would come
forward with necessary financial support to maintain this
important industry.
The Superintendent takes this opportunity of expressing
his thanks to the District Officers for the help given by
them to him and his staff in carrying out their work.
T. J. EGAN, SUPERINTENDENT,
Civil Veterinary Department,
North-West Frontier Province and North Punjab.
