entirely beloved cousin and councellor, right trusty and well beloved cousins
and councellors, trusty and well beloved councellors, and trusty and well

to the foresaid ordinary place, accepting him as one of your number. And we do
hereby ordain him to have and enjoy all honours and privileges thereunto belong-
ing, with vote amongst you, and to be participant of your salleries, taking his oath
as use is ; as you will have justice to be administered, and as you will do accept-
able service to us. And so we bid you heartily farewell. Given at our court
at Kensington the 6th day of February 169f, and of our reign the 10th year.
