(567) James Hamilton of Colquhot, Commissioner of Supply for Peebles,
1678.
Hnit0 recorded in Lyon Office, 1672-77. — Gules, three cinquefoils between two
flasques argent. [Plate VII., fig. 8.] Crest : Cupid with his bow, quiver,
and arrows proper. MOTTO : " Quos dedit arcus amor"
He was probably father of: —
(568) Alexander Hamilton of Colquhot, who married Margaret, daughter of
James Lands. He had charter of his lands 8th July 168 1. He had
a son : —
(569) Robert Hamilton of Colquhot.
