(116) Claud Hamilton, second son of Claud Hamilton (No. 113). He married
a Weir of Stonebyres, and had : —
(117) Hugh Hamilton. Married a daughter of Robert Blackwood, of Ayr. They
had issue : —
(118) Hugh Hamilton of Glengall. Married Jane, daughter of John Ferguson
of Castlehill, and had : —
(a) Robert Hamilton of Bourtreehill, Ayrshire, died 4th June
1773. Married, 3rd April 1760, Anne Cunningham,
widow of Mr Hunter of Brownhill (Scots Magazine).
He left daughters only.

(c) Hugh (No. 124).
(119) JOHN HAMILTON, R.N., drowned c. 1740. He married, January 1739, Mar-
garet, daughter of Hugh Montgomery of Coylsfield, and had a son : —
(120) John Hamilton of Sundrum, bom 4th November 1739; died 3rd January
1821. Married, April 1762, Lilias, daughter of Alexander Montgomery
of Coylsfield, and had issue: —
(a) John (No. 121).
(b) Alexander West Hamilton, died 13th March 1837. He
succeeded to Pinmore, and was retoured heir-male of
his kinsman, Hugh Hamilton of Pinmore (No. 126),
29th June 1829. Married, first, 4th March 1805, Mary,
daughter of James Ritchie of Busbie, who died s.p. He
married, second, January 1816, Hamilla, daughter of
Alexander Montgomery of Annick Lodge, and had : —
(1) Hugh Hamilton of Pinmore, born 1828. Re-
toured to his father 10th November 1838.
Married, first, 1853, Selina, daughter of Sir
G. B. L'Estrange, who died 1865. He
married, second, 1869, Georgina, daughter
of James Campbell of Craigie, and had :• —
(a) Hugh Alexander Hamilton, born
1872 ; died 1876.
(c) Robert Hamilton.
(d) Lieutenant-Colonel Hugh Hamilton.
(e) Captain Archibald Hamilton.
(/) Thomas Bargany Hamilton.
(g) Captain Montgomery Hamilton.

between three cinquefoils argent. [Plate III., fig. 3.] CREST : A saw placed
across the ti-unk of an oak tree, both proper. MOTTO : " Through."
(121) John Hamilton of Sundrum. Married, 5th June 1804, Christian,
daughter of George Dundas of Dundas, and had issue : —
(a) John (No. 122).
(b) George Hamilton.
(c) Dundas Hamilton.
(d) Alexander Hamilton.
