ARMS' VETERANS SQUASH RACKETS CHAMPIONSHIP
This championship was instituted for the first time in 1954. The
Permanent rules for the Army Championship are also applicable
to the Veterans Championship except as stated hereafter.
2. Eligibility.—Serving and Retired Regular Army Personnel
who are more than 42 years old on the day of the final match.
3.
Date.
—This championship will take place during the same period
as the Army Championship.
4.
Handicap.—
Matches will be played on a handicap for age basis.
5.
Entry Fee.
—An Entry Fee of £1 will be required from each
competitor. For this sum, a Veteran is also entitled to enter for the
Army Championship without further payment.
6. Trophies.—Suitable mementoes will be provided for the winner
and runner-up of this Championship.

SERVICE SQUASH RACKETS TOURNAMENT
The Challenge Cup was generously presented by members of the
Army and Navy Club in 1929. From 1929 to 1938 (when the last
pre-war Tournament was held) it was played for annually between
Service teams, each of 5 strings.
Originally there was a tacit understanding that the Tournament
should be played exclusively at the Army and Navy Club, and that
the Club should have a voice in the conditions of the Tournament.
Since the Second World War, however, the Club has graciously
written to say that, although the members hope the Club may from
time to time become the venue of the Tournament, it is now recog-
nised that the event has, in fact, become an Inter-Service Champion-
ship, the conditions for which should be left wholly to the Squash
Rackets Associations of the three Services.

RACKETS TOURNAMENT
1. The three Inter-Service Matches will take place in rotation
at one of the Service Clubs in London on successive days, during the
week preceding Christmas. The exact dates will be decided at the
Programme Fixing meeting of the Squash Rackets Association Com-
mittee, which is held annually in March.
2. The Tournament will be organised by each Service in rotation.
3. The Secretary of the Service concerned is responsible for making
all the necessary arrangments with the appropriate Club. He should
notify the Secretaries of the other two services once such arrangements
have been made.
4. The Service organising the Tournament shall have the right to
select on which of the three appointed days their matches are played.
