10.
The Rules
(a) Each match will be decided on the best of five games.
(b) Matches will be played subject to the rules of the singles
games of Squash Rackets, published in the current edition of
"Games and Sports in the Army."
11.
Markers.
—Each match will be controlled by a marker.
12.
Expenses.
—Entry fees cover the use of the courts, the ball,
markers fees and the changing accommodation. All other expenses
will be borne by individual Competitors.
13.
Trophies
(a) The winner of the Championship will receive a challenge trophy
and a silver tankard. The runner-up will receive a pewter
tankard.
(b) The Challenge trophy may remain in the custody of the winner
of the Championship until I st November of the following year,
by which time it will be returned to the Hon. Secretary, Army
Squash Rackets Association. This trophy is covered for in-
surance by the Army Sport Control Board and may be taken
out of the United Kingdom to B.A.O.R., but no further.
(c) Suitable mementoes will be provided for the winner and runner-
up of the Plate Competition if reinstated.
Notification of the Championships and the Draws to
Competitors
14. The conditions of the Championship and the entry forms will
be prepared by the Hon. Secretary, Army Squash Rackets Association
by 1st September.
15. A copy of the conditions of the Championship and entry form
will be sent by the Hon. Secretary, Army Squash Rackets Association,
to all competitors who entered for the Championship during the
previous two years, and to suitable home and overseas establishments.
This will be sent to the address given on their entry forms of the pre-
vious year and will be timed to arrive one month before entries close.
16. Copies of the conditions of the Championship and the entry
form will be sent by the Hon. Secretary, Army Squash Rackets Asso-
ciation., to the Secretary, Army Sport Control Board by 1st September
annually. The Secretary, Army Sport Control Board will send a copy
to each command at home and abroad with a request that it be pub-
lished in full in Command Orders one month before entries are due
to close and that attention be drawn to it in appropriate formation
orders within the commands.
17. A copy of the Draw and of instructions to competitors will
be sent by the Hon. Secretary, Army Squash Rackets Association,
to each competitor.
