Honours Tie
26. A T.A. Honours Tie has been instituted and may be worn by
all ranks who have any of the following qualifications :
(a) A member of the winning team in the T.A. Association
Footba" Competition.
(b) A winner of a weight or a member of the winning team in the
T k. Boxing Championships.
(;:) Individual winner of an event or member of a winning team
in the T.A. Athletic Championships.
(d) Individual champion or member of the winding to �m in the
T.A. Cross-Country Championships.
(e) Member of a T.A. representative team organised by the
T.A.S.A.

The tie can be obtained from Messrs. Lillywhites Ltd.,
Piccadilly, S.W.i, on presentation of a written authority from
the Secretary, T.A.S.A.
THE QUEEN'S CHALLENGE CUP
The King's Challenge Cup was presented by King George VI
in
1939
for competition between units of the Territorial Army
taking part in sporting events controlled and organised by the
Territorial Army Sport Board.
In 1952, Her Majesty The Queen expressed her wish that the Cup
should be known as The Queen's Challenge Cup and competition
for the Cup began on 1st October, 1952. Revised conditions,
which will take effect from 1st October, 1956, have now been
agreed to as set out below
Conditions
1. The Cup will be competed for annually, the period being
1st October to the following 3oth September.
z. All T.A. units will be eligible to compete for the Cup, and
the winner will be the unit awarded the largest number of marks in
accordance with the schedule in para. 3 below.
3. Marks will be awarded as follows :—
The Association Football Challenge Cup Competition
(a) The winning team _ 10
(b) The runners-up 6
(c) Each losing team in the Semi-Final round 3
(d) Each losing team in the Quarter-Final round I
The Athletic Championships
(e) The winners of a unit team event 3
(f) The runners-up of a unit team event z
(g) The third team in a unit team event I
(h) The winner of an individual event 2
(i) The runner-up of an individual event .. I
(j) No individual athlete shall be able to score more than six
points for his unit.
