In addition, reasonable out-of-pocket expenses, including third-
class rail and second-class boat fares, if incurred, may be charged.
Where a gate is taken, the fees and expenses are chargeable to
the proceeds of the gate. Where no gate is taken, the fees and
expenses will be paid by the home team, who should, if desired,
recover half of the sum paid from the visiting club (see para.
I I).
Payment of fees for the semi-finals and final will be met by the
Army Football Association.
8.—NOTIFICATION OF RESULT
Notification of the result of every match, accompanied by the
certificate of eligibility referred to in para.
12,
is to be sent by
each team to the Secretary, Army Football Association, c/o A.S.C.B.,
The War Office, Stanmore, Middlesex, telephone number STOne-
grove 63'7'7, Extension 46, within two days after the match (not in-
cluding Sunday). Notification of a draw and the result of a replayed
tie must be sent by the home team (and in the semi-final ties by both
teams) to the Secretary by wire. Clubs failing to comply with this
rule shall be liable to a fine of ios.
q.—LAWS OF THE GAME
The Laws of the Game under which all matches will be played
shall be the laws for the time being of the International Board
(Football Rules only are here referred to).
The entire control and management of the competition shall be
vested in the Army Football Association General Committee, who
shall have power, subject to confirmation at the next Annual
General Meeting, to amend the rules as may be necessary.
For cup ties the following shall be the dimensions of the ground
and goal lines:

Goal nets must be used in all cup ties
There must be a provision made for at least three yards' clear
space between the spectators and the touch and goal lines.
Unless absolutely impracticable the ground must be roped or
fenced off in such a way that spectators cannot encroach.
