Special Awards.
(a) A P

will be given to outstanding performers who
achieve a minimum of 650 points in each of the five events.
(b) The standard of performance for the awards will be decided
by the Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Organising Secretary
of the Organising Committee and the Officer i/c Event for
which the awards are being based.
13.
Competition Rules
(A).
i . Qualifications. No entry will be accepted without a certi-
ficate to the effect that the competitor has reached the following
standard in the five events :
Riding
—Competent to ride over fences and across natural country.
Fencing—Has experience in cpce fencing.
Shooting—Has experience in Target Pistol Shooting and must
be able to obtain a minimum score of 145
Swimming—Has swum 300 yards in seven minutes, or under.
Running—Has run cross-country

miles in sixteen minutes,
thirty seconds or under.

2.
Entrance Fees : Individuals—Five shillings per entrant.
Team—Two pounds ten shillings per team. This includes
individual entrance fees.
3. Rules for entry and composition of a team :=
(a) Provisional entries, giving numbers only of Individuals and
Teams, will be sent to the Honorary Secretary three months
before the date of the competition.
(b) Final entries, after which no further entries will be accepted,
giving names and particulars of all entrants, and the number
of teams to be entered will be sent to the Honorary Secretary
one month before the date of the competition.
(c) Entries will be submitted through Staff Officers for Physical
Training of the Commands concerned.
(d) A team shall consist of three members, who shall be nomina-
ted not less than twenty-four hours before the time fixed
for the start of the competition.
The number of provisional entries for Individuals and
Teams is unlimited. For reasons of organisation, however,
the number of starters is limited. If the entries exceed
the limit, it will be necessary to eliminate by such methods
as the Committee, in conjunction with Command represen-
tatives, shall decide.
Definition of a Team This will be in accordance with the Definition of a Unit,
and eligibility of players laid down in " Game; and Sports
in the Army."
(b) The final decision as to the eligibility of teams under the
above rules rests with the Committee.
