NOTES FOR HON. SECRETARIES
New hon. secretaries are reminded that before it is possible to
operate the Association's account at the bank, an extract from the
minutes of the meeting appointing the new hon. secretary is required
by the bank in question. This extract must be signed by the Chair-
man of that meeting.
AUDIT OF ACCOUNTS
The accounts of Army Sports Associations and Unions will be
audited annually by the auditors of the A.S.C.B. without expense
to the Association or Union concerned.
The following are the books, etc., required by the Auditors
Cash book.
Cheque book.
Receipt book.
Paying-in book.
Bank Pass book (or Account Statements).
Ledger.
`Bank Certificate.
Receipted bills.
Certificate of investments held at the end of the financial year.
*Bank Certificate.
This certificate is supplied on application to
the bank, and shews the position of the account at the end of the
financial year.

Attention is drawn to para.

SONNEL AND BAGGAGE " (Notified in Army Orders for

At least
14
days' notice must be given to the A.S.C.B. prior to the
date on which it is desired to hold the meeting, and the following
information must be given
Date of meeting.
Time.
Duration (morning, afternoon, or all day).
Approximate numbers who will attend.
Hon. Secretaries are responsible for notifying the meeting to all
members of the committee concerned.
APPLICATION FOR GRANTS
Where Associations are not self-supporting, and desire financial
assistance from the A.S.C.B., applications for grants must be received
by the 1st February.

When purchases are made, or estimates required it is
hoped that consideration may be given to the Advertisers
in this book.
