ARMY INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIPS.
HISTORY AND PAST WINNERS.
Up to the year 1923, the Army Individual Championships were open
to professionals or amateurs. In 1924 and 1925, two Championships
were held, one open to Amateurs and one to Professionals and
Amateurs. In 1926, only a Championship open to Amateurs was held,
it having been decided not to hold a Professional competition in
future. In 1928, a Boys' Individual Championship was held, for the
first time.
The following is a list of the winners of other rank championships,
which were open to professionals and amateurs. The list is followed
by a list of Army amateur champions, both officer and other rank.
