| Description | King Nikola I Petrovich of Montenegro (1860-1918) has been photographed by John Warwick Brooke standing with two officers beside a small fighter plane. The pilot stands near the propeller. Another group of men stand around a second plane in the background. Buildings are visible at the far end of the airfield. At the beginning of the war, a small number of planes were used by the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Navy Air Service, primarily for reconnaissance.
