| Description | This is the back of photograph D2875 - a representive image from the collection. D.2875 is the pencil written number on the top left of the photograph. Next to this is stuck a piece of typing paper- this carries the 'official caption'. This one has been cut a little squint. Finally, on the bottom right hand of the photograph is a stamped, standard copyright declaration and a blank space for the publication date. This space has not been filled in. The photograph on the reverse is an image of a woman ambulence driver being presented with the Military Medal. It is referred to as MM in the caption showing the attitude of familiarity with the terminology at the time. Other photos carry stamps representing a number of different press agencies, and some indicate a price for reproduction, e.g.10s.6d.
