stances, muuiikent Subscriptions which have already been made for the pur-
pose of building a suitable Chapel, your Connnittee, cannot here, without
injustice, pass unnoticed the disinterested conduct, and hitherto gratuitous
services of their Secretary, Mr. Malcolm Currte, to whose individual
exertions the Institution is greatly indebted; yet, notwidistanding his con-
slant and indefatigable attention to its concerns, much remains to be done
in the wav of obtaining additional Subscriptions ; a tew only of the High-
land Noblemen and Gentlemen have had an opportunity of contributing;
and as yet no application has been made to many religious and well disposed
English; consequently nnich assistance towards the Objects of llie Institu-
tion may reasonably be expected trora these quarters. In the mean time
your Con:n'.ittee lay before you a list of the present Subscribers:^
