nuscrit : eid (no crel) 8126, (/06a (i. brig) 8887, sians
(i. rúin) 6812, trebaire (i. amainse) 6853, bestataid (no
anagoig) ^bgS, airem (no airilliud) 3078, atoibe (i. is oent-
adach)] 1 864, ro-t-gaired-su (no ro-i-gressed-sa) 1 79 1 , ce
qui prouverait que la langue de nos textes du Lea-
bhar Breac est assez antérieure au xiv' siècle.
Il est donc vraisemblable que la langue de The Pas-
sions and the Homilies est la langue du xn" siècle, éga-
lement écartée du vieil-irlandais (vii-ix' siècle) et de
l'irlandais moderne (xvr siècle).

La présente grammaire est fondée surtout sur les
