Eadur-thrath is perhaps a corruption of ^iiìmt/i, tlie time of the
morning when cattle are brought home from jiasture to give milk,
literally, meal-time. The Celtic cd, or eid, is the root of the Greek.
£0», Lat. edo, Eng. cat. Tlie Greek sSja, a seat, lias an evident
reference to food ; it is compounded of two Celtic words, ed, food,
and trà, time. Eiva, " presents which a bridegroom made to his
bride," is cd-muuth, or cd-na, raw food.
Eadar-thriath, s. m. An inter-reign; a regency; also,
a regent.
Eadaruinn, comp. pron. (Ir. eadruinn.) Between us,
