^ookV". An epic poem. 115
Deep- FOLD ED in red war ! See battle roll
P-galnft his fide. Striding amid the ridgy ftrife,
he pours the deaths of thoufands forth. Fillan
is like a fpirit of heaven, that defcends from the
fkht of winds. The troubled ocean feels his
jfteps, as he ftrides from wave to wave. His
path kindles behind him. Illands fliake their
heads on the heaving feas ! Leave, blue-eyed
Clatho, leave thy hall !
