'S air n-àile chunna mise uair,
'S cha b'fhuathach leat mo chodhail !
Air thì do bhuantachd, 's tric a fhuair thu,
An uaigneas, caint mo bheoil sa ;
*S tric a fhuair thu e le rn' fhuran,
Tuille is bu leoir dheth j
Mar bheil droch bhuaidh, no fortan cruaidh,
Gad' chumail uam o phòsa.

Bha gradh aig ludas aira bheirteas,
A's glieiil e 'n chionta mhor sin !
Cha robh thu fada uaith ad' bheachd,
'S chuir sud air seacharan dhomhs' thu,

Bean tha.meuchar, boidheach?
