MORDUBH*.
AM bheil thufa air fgiathan do luathas,
A ghaoth, gu triall led' uile neart ?
Thig le cairdeas a dh'ionnfuidh m'aois,
Thoir fgriob eutrom thar mo chraig.
Comh-aois m'òige ghlac an t-eug.
'S uaigneach m'aigne 'n uaimh mo bhròin.
'S mor mo leòn fo laimh na h-aois :
Ofaig tha 'g aftar o thuath, na dean tuafaid rium 's mi lag
Bha mi uair gu'n robh mo cheum
Cho eutrom riutfa, a ghaoth.
Mo neart mar chraig a' Chruaidh-mhill ?
'S iomadh cath 'fna bliuail mi beum.
'S trie taibhfe mo naimhdean ag aftar
Le ceum lag o bheinn gu beinn.
Ach thig am do bhròin-fa, a ghaoth,
A 'Nuair
