List pension of £50 for his contributions to Gaelic
literature.
A melancholy interest is attached to " A' mhaighdean
aluinn " and " Dealachadh Leannain," two of the lyrics
included in the following selection. They were com-
posed many years ago in praise of the Highland lady
who became his wife, and who died in January, 1906.
