Belief, s. 1. Credit given to something that we
know not of: creideas. 2. the theological virtue
of faith : creidirah. 3. religion, the body of
tenets held by the professors of faith : creidimh,
aidmheil creidimh. 4. persuason, opinion : bar-
ail. 5. the thing believed, the object of belief :
ni a theid a chreidsinn. 6. creed : creud, creid-
eamh-catharra.
