RUDIMENTS OF GAELIC GRAMMAR.
Before a vowel or/ aspirated, mo and do,
are written m' d' ; as, m'athair, m'fhiolair,
m' fhaine or m' fhaithne, my father, my
eagle, my ring; d' ordugh, thy order; d'
fliaithtie,rty riiig or mandate, cYisageà. often
to, t'fhàithne, f ordugh.
Demonstrative Pronouns are three, so,
Sinn, siod, ad ; so, this ; siod, yon, yonder ;
arm, that; (sud, nonesense); gach, each,
every ; gaeh uile, every, contracted chuile
and na h-uile, a cheile, each other, are by
some stj-led Distributive Promouxs. For a

Interrogative Pronouns aTÈ,Dè,uhat ?
(in some cases ciod) ; deile, what else ? cò,
who} da, oTcè, which? and n«c/!, used ne-
gatively ; as,7iach robh can siod,wa3 he not
yonder ? each, the rest ; cuid, some ; cuid
eile, some other ; eile, other ; ce b' e, who-
soever ; ce b' e airbith, dè air bith, whoever,
wfuitsoever, whatever, are termed indefi-
nite PRONOUNS.
Compound Pronouns are made up of prepositions; as, ann ;
,atme; {aiganàrai) in my pouession; liumssa, tome, agairtst me. Sin.

Note. The folly and absurdity of wTiting fuidhe for foidhe is obvious from the
compound of foidh, i, e, fodham-sa, fodhadsa. It is only a mispronunciation,as griobh-
ach is mispronounced, gruach, siod (sud) ; and if fuidh be continued fudham-sa,
fudhad.samust be adopted, to be consistent. Eadaruimi, annainn, &c. should be declin-
ed, but being exemplified at great length in the Dictionary in their respective places, it
is deemed unnecessary.
