'S na gliiilili libi uiin ad fhabhoir
Bheir thu dliaibh slainte iiihor.
Mo charaid thu, na fag mi,
'S an fhasach stiuir mo eheum,
Thoir neart a reir an la dhomli,
Na fàg-sa mi 's na tveig ;
Is nuair ni tinn mo bhualadh,
'S nach dean an sluagh dhondi fcum,
Dean thus' mo leabaidh suaimhneach,
A' cluinntinn luaidh ort feiu.
Nuair thionaileas mo chairdean,
'.S an uaigh 'g am cljaramh sios,
Bidh 'n uaigh 'n a leabaidh thamh dhomh,
Gus an la an tig tbu ris ;
Bi flluth troimh ghleann a' bhids domh,
'S a ghaoil, na fag-sa mi
Gus 'm faic mi ann ad ghloir thu
Fad shiorruidheachd mhor gun chrich.
For Thou, Thy glory showing,
Madest me Thy beauty see ;
Thy love has been bestowing
New life and joy on me.
Thon grace and glory givost,
Thou art a Sun and Shield,
Thou only ever livest,
Thy words salvation yield.
O Lord, do not forsake me.
But ginde me as a friend.
And strong in heart still make me,
Fnr what Thy love may send.
Win II seized l*y sore diseases,
W'liicli no kind hand allays.
Make Thou my bed, l^ord Jesus,
And hear me sing Thy jiraise.
When friends, with grief high swelling.
Have laid me 'neath the sod.
The grave shall be my dwelling.
Until the day of God.
Tlirou'^h death's dark vale victorious,
( ih, let me lean on Thee,
And let me see Thee glorious,
'i'hrough all eternity.
Words from a sacred song by
