Fhir bu chomasaich inntinn,
A bha gu cinnte de'n àls',
A reir a cho-throm a fhuair thu,
C'ait* an cualas na b'fhearr ?
Measg do cheadfadhan buadhach,
'S tu fhuair an tiodhlac a b'aird ;
Beul a dheanadh, 's a shelnneadh,
Gu ro ghrinnail an dan.
Thainig smal oirn le cianalas,
O na thriall thu do'n iiir.
