Farm of the Oath taken hy a Jtatice of Pcace^
at his admission.
I A. B. swear, that as a Justice of Peace, within the Cowty of
Forfar, in all the articles of the King's Commission to me directed,
I shall do equal right to poor and rich, after my cunning, wit and
power, and after the Laws and Customs of this realm, and Statutes
thereof made ; I shall not be of council with any person, in any
quarrel depending before me, and that I shall hold the Sessions
after the form of the Statutes thereof made : and the issues, fineSj
and amerciaments, that happen to be made, and forfeitures that
shall fall before me, I shall cause to be entered, without conceal-
ment, or embezzling, and truly send them to the King's Exchequer:
I shall not let for gift, or other cause, but well and truly I shall
do the office of a Justice of Peace in that behalf ; and that I shall
take nothing for my office of Justice of Peace to be done, but of
the Khig, and fees accustomed, and costs limited by the Statutes
I shall not direct, or cause to be directed, any warrant by me to
be made, to the parties j but I shall direct them to Bailies of the
said county, or other of the King's officers, or ministers, or othef
mdilFerent persons, to do execution thereof. S© help me God*.
