Two and three-quarter acres at Coltbridge, mortified in 1852 by
George Pape, Esq. of Coltbridge House. (1) For support of three
poor widows of labourers in the village of Coltbridge. (2) For
education of six children of poor cottagers in that village or
neighbourhood at Coltbridge School ; and (3) To relieve wants of
other poor widows and single women in that village and neigh-
bourhood. Charity available only for Protestants.

t Being one of the works of the Order of Holy Charity.
This Home was opened in May 1874. Its design is to receive
destitute children, whatever may be the cause of their destitu-
tion. The children are in all possible instances paid for, the pay-
ments varying with the circumstances of each case.
ST. MARY'S -AT-THE-SEA.
A small Convalescent Home in connection with the Order of
Holy Charity, Edinburgh. It was opened in the year 1879, and
since then a number of the poor members of the Scotch Epi. copal
Church have greatly benefited by the rest and change.
ST. MARY'S ORPHAN HOME,
3 Buccleuch Place.
This Institution, intended for the education of orphan children
(girls) in the principles of the Episcopal Church of Scotland, was
opened at a small house in Gillespie crescent, on the 26th May,
1873. The orphanage was founded and is superintended by Miss
Fraser Tytler, a member of All Sa'nts' Congregat ; on, and is under
the pastoral charge of the Rev. A. D. Murdoch. The object of
the house is to train girls for domestic service, by giving them
such an upbringing as may help them, with God's assistance, to
fulfil relgiously and usefully the duties of that state of life to
which He has been pleased to call them. Girls are received up to
the age of 15.
