Is a neat modern viUagG, 10 miles e.w. from Glasgow and 11 s.
from Paisley, pleasantly situated in the lower part of the parish to
which it has given its name, about a mile to Ibo north-west of tbo
old castle of Polao m ; it is composed of two rows of houses, a
tributary rivulet to the Cart rannincr through tlie intermediate
