This old and extensive Society has since its commencement distributed!
amongst the representatives of Assured Parties sums exceeding in amount
Three Millions Sterling.
THE PROFITS are added to the Policies in Bonuses, proportionate to theirt
age and endurance, and the amounts declared at past divisions have increased the i
sums assured by, from 12^ to 128 per Cent.
The Directors, in terms of the Constitution and Bye Laws, afford to Members the amplest facilities j
and privileges consistant with an equitable regard to the general interest of the Society.
In particular—
DECLARED BONUSES may be surrendered for present cash, or applied in reduction, of
future Premiums, the right to share in subsequent Divisions not being thereby lost.
SURRENDER VALUE is allowed upon every discontinued Policy, although no more
than One Premium has been paid.
WH EN POLICIES attain the value of .=£50, Loans are made to Members without expense,
and at a medium rate of interest, as upon First-class Securities.
MEMBERS are permitted to Travel and Reside in any part of the World, subject to
moderate extra rates of Premium, suitable to the risk.
WHEN POLICIES have been five years in existence Members may apply to have them
declared Indisputable on any ground whatever.
IN THE SETTLEMENT OF CLAIMS the wishes and convenience of Parties are care-
fully attended to, and the full sums due are made payable without charge in any part of the
Three Kingdoms.
The Accumulated and Invested Funds of the Society now amount to about ^£3, 500,000.
