In tei-ins of tlio Resolutions of the (general Court of Proprietors, held on the 6th
<aay of -April, 1847:
New IMSURANCES for , moo and upwards, for Uic whole Term of Life, will
receive Bonuses on the principle of Fuxir-fifths, or Eighty per cent, of the Frofiu<:,
at the end of every Fifth Year.
The Share of Profits allotted to each Policy may be either as a Bonus or Rever-
sionary Sum to be added to the amount insured, and payable at the Death of the
Life; or in Reduction of the future Annu:il Paymont; or an immediate paymcir
may be obtained in Cash, of its present value.
Insurances effected, without participation of Profits, at a reduced rate of Premium.
Insurances may also be effected upon the joint continuance of two or more Lives;
upon tlie joint Lives and the Life of the Survivor of two or more persons; upon thu
contingency of one Life dying before another; upon the Life Assured attaining any
specific age, or drying previously thereto.
Premiums may be paid either yearly or half-yearly; by a single payment; by a
limited number of payments; by an ascending or descending scale.

Cotton, Flax, Wool, and Silk Mills, and Weaving Factories; Calico-Printing,
Dyeing, and Bleaching Works ; Distilleries, Breweries, Corn and Flour Mills;
Sugar Kefineries, Chemical Manufactories, and other Risks of a similar nature, may
be insured by Special Agreement, on favourable terms.
Half the Profls of the Fire Department are appvopriatrO. ij the Assured eve{ry
Fflh year, on all Policies of £300 and upwards, ivhicL hav^ continued in force for
the two preceding years,

Engineer and Firemen being directed to the protection of property covered by tho
Company's Policies.
