YOUNG ABSTAINERS' UNION.
There is a branch of this Union in Alloa, formed in Octr.,
1880, and is steadily gaining ground. Meetings are held on first
Friday of each month in Museum Hall. Miss Forrester Paton,
Ma hill House, divisional secretary; Miss Roxburgh, Rosevale;
local secretary. Present membership, 125. There are
branches of this Union in Alva and Dollar,
ALLOA GOSPEL TEMPERANCE UNION.
This branch of the Temperance cause was formed in 1882.
President, R. Carmichael ; vice-presidents, A. P. Forrester-
Paton and John Dunn ; secretary, Gavin Martin ; treasurer,
John Duncan. The Committee consists of eight ladies and
fifteen gentlemen. Meetings are held at least once in the
two months to promote Temperance principles.
MENSTRIE SABBATH-SCHOOL ASSOCIATION.
This Association was formed in October, 1878, for the
purpose of carrying on Sabbath School work in Menstrie and
district. The School meets every Sabbath evening in the Co-
operative Hall, Menstrie. It is undenominational in its
character, although at the same time Protestant and Evan-
gelical in its principles. President and Superintendent,
the Rev. William M'Laren, Blairlogie.
MENSTRIE BOYS AND GIRLS' RELIGIOUS SOCIETY.
Instituted 1880. Meets in Co-operative Hall every
Sunday forenoon ; and has a membership of about 100.
