TILLICOULTRY YOUNG WOMEN'S ASSOCIATION.
Meetings are held on Wednesday evenings in the Christian
Fellowship Rooms, and the hours are spent in sewing, knit-
ting, reading, writing, &c. Superintendents, Mrs Paton and
Mrs Archibald; treasurer, Maggie M'Laren ; secretary,
Helen M'Lellan ; there are also nine of a committee. Eight
lady assistants take, in rotation, the management of the
meetings. Younger members meet three times a week, and
are under the guidance of Miss Brand.
NATIONAL BIBLE SOCIETY OF SCOTLAND—
TILLICOULTKY AUXILIARY.
President, Mr James Paton ; treasurer, Mr Archibald
Walker ; secretary, Mr David B, Douglas. The annual
sermon for last year was preached in the Popular Institute
by the Rev. James Wallace of Alloa.
CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP ROOMS, TILLICOULTRY.
These buildings, situated at the head of Stirling Street,
were originally erected for a school by David Paton, Esq.,
and went under the name of Tillicoultry Academy. After
the formation of a School Board and the providing of new
schools, the academy was invested in the hands of
Trustees and has been designated the Christian Fellowship
Rooms. There are three apartments, the largest of which is
capable of accomodating about 200. Various associations use
the Rooms as a meeting place, and the scale of charges ig
moderate. Keeper of premises— Mrs Campbell, Stirling St.
TILLICOULTRY MOTHERS' MEETING.
Held in the Christian Fellowship Rooms every Thursday
afternoon at half-past three o'clock for prayer and bible
reading. President, Mrs James Paton.
GOSPEL TEMPERANCE ASSOCIATION.
Meets every Friday evening in the Christian Fellowship
Rooms. Number of members, about 90. President, Robert
Young; treasurer, John Campbell; secretary, Robt. Pettigrew.
