KILNCRAIGS FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
In 1843 there was instituted a friendly society for sickness and
funerals in connection with Kilncraigs factory, Alloa. President,

ALLOA COLLIERY SICK AND FUNERAL SOCIETY.
The Alloa Colliery Sick and Funeral Society was instituted
28th October, 1876. Object : To raise Funds sufficient to support
Members during sickness, assisting Funeral expenses, and paying
Doctor's attendance by yearly fees. Office-bearers : President,
Alexander Roxburgh ; Secretary, Thomas Dawson ; Treasurer,
Robert Mitchell. Members of Committee— James S. Thomson,
Thomas Adamson, "William Fyfe, James Paterson, John Archibald,
John Snaddon, "William Izatt, and Thomas Paterson.
ALLOA FRIENDLY SOCIETY
For Sickness, and aiding in defraying the expenses of the Funerals
of its Members. Instituted in the year 1823, and at present numbers
upwards of 300 members. President — Robert Munro, jun.; Vice-
President— Jas. Cochrane; Treasurer — Jas. K. Brown; Secretary —
Charles Campbell ; Collector and Officer-— John Archibald.
ALVA YEARLY FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
This Society has been, established for a goad many years.

ROYAL LIVER FRIENDLY SOCIETY.
This Society has many members in this district. lu
Tillicoultry alone there are upwards of 1500 members. The
benefits allowed at death are liberal, and the weekly pay-
ments are comparatively trifling. Agent for Stirling district —
