ALLOA TOWN MISSION SAVINGS' BANK.
The business of this useful Institution is conducted at the Com-
mercial Bank, the smallest sum receivable being one shilling. Hours
for receiving and paying money, 6 to 8 on Wednesday evenings. The
amount deposited in the Alloa Savings' Bank is large, and steadily
increasing. Trustees : — Messrs J. Melvin, Jas. Moir, Aw. Mitchell,
A. Thomson, J, F. Thomson, Rev. P. M'Dowall. A. Moir, Treasurer.
Kincardine. — A Savings' Bank has long been established in
this town, and the Bank is open daily (except Saturday) for receiving
and repaying deposits from 10 to 3. A. C. Stephen, Treasurer.
Post-Office Savings' Bank. — In addition to the other banks,
there is also the Post-OfBce Savings' Bank, constituted under an Act
of Parliament, entituled "An Act to grant additional facilities for
depositing small savings of money, with the security of the Govern-
ment for due repayment thereof."
Penny Savings Banks have been established in Tillicoultry,
Dollar, and Alva ; and embrace a considerable number of depositors.
