For every Cart Load from or to the Broomielaw, the length
cf the head of Queen ftreet, along George's ftreet, down
Montrofe ftreet, by the Weigh-houfe, Candleriggs, Bell
ftreet, the Well above the Crofs to the Spoutmouth in Gal-
lowgate, and thence weftwards - - - o w
For every Cart Load of Sugar to the Stockweli and Queen
ftreet Sugar Houfes, when taken off with a crane - 07^
For 2 puncheons of beans or meal, or 2 yarn bales, or any
other large caflc about 1 ton weight, or a cart load of cork, as
much as can be laid on for the fame diftance as above - 13
For every other place of delivery within the Royalty or New
Town, per cart load - 13
For every 10 bolls of oats, beans and wheat, and every 8 bolls
of barley, to all the Granaries at the Broomielaw, Jamaica
ftreet, Grahamfton, Stockweli and Argyle ftreet, the Carters
always finding fufficient bags, and carrying the whole of
their load up one ftory, or into a ground flat, without any
afliftance from the employer, per cart - - I O
When the cart load is to be carried up more than one ftory,
the employer fhall pay the Carter, per cart, an additional o Z
But in this laft cafe the Carter may carry up the half of
the load at his own expenfe, the employer being at the
expenfe of the other half.
